Our today’s guest is one of the awesome people, that we met this year during Italian RECON G6…
…and that we talked to a few times before that on Fb 🙂 He was kind enough to bring cheese for Sandra’s culinary project, that, in all our chaotic ways, we were not able to get from him 😉 Don’t ask, it’s our fault..

As to RECON G6s come tons of our friends that we are able to see once or twice a year, we didn’t have much time to spend with our today’s guest (and go for the cheese.. grrr..), so we hope to make it up to him next year if he comes to Poland 🙂 Mr Conti – prepare for some decent Polish food, my friend! 🙂
With a great pleasure we present to you answers to our “5 questions to:..” from someone, that beat us this year by 100km, as driver that had the longest way to get to RECON G6 in Italy 😉 He has a great sence of humor and we can’t wait to get to know him a bit better next year 🙂 Ladies and gentelmen – Joe Conti RC! 😀

1. How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?

I started flying quadcopters but after losing one, crashing a second and watching a 3rd fall to the ground from 3 meters high and only breaking a propeller I decided that the air was not a place where I can enjoy myself .. want great building the quadcopters but too tense and worrying for me .. I was a 1:1 offroader for many years and so scale crawling was the obvious way to go – my first RC car was a Wraith .. kit version .. not too keen on RTR – when something is RTR then I have no respect for it and will trash it and will either abandon it or throw it away or break it down for parts

2. Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?

I have 3 RCs, the Wraith, the Suzuki (Wroncho) and a 1/24 crawler – all have their good points but only recently the Wroncho has proven to be a very great performer so I think for the time being I can say it’s the Wroncho. That said, I am building a 4th .. more about that in the future 🙂

3. What is your dream RC?

A high performance bulletproof 1/10th with 2.2s 🙂 As for body, no idea! Got to look hot 🙂

4. What do you like the most in this hobby?

The peaceful quality alone time I get out of it be it during the trails, in the workshop or editing videos 🙂

5. What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?

Well, for starters it is obviously the RC itself and the radio hahah – I have left the garage without the radio a couple of times so I had to go back – a must have item that lol – the camera crew (6″ * 6″ tupperware box with my camera, lipo, stand and cables), tools, parts and if it’s a long trail then water and something to eat 🙂
