Our today’s guest is one of those RC maniacs, that are “crazy” about their rigs. How is it possible his Jeep looks like brand new EVERY TIME he comes to the meeting??
He is also one of those “crazy” RC maniacs, that can drive their scale rig on one puddle of mud or rocks for hours 😉 And he doesn’t get bored. EVER! Same with rebuilding his rig – there is always something new or different there 😉
With a great pleasure we present to you answers to our “5 questions to:..” from someone, that spending time with is a pure pleasure, have great sense of humor (sarcasm is a sign of intelligence, right? 😉 ) and simply is one of a kind (as his rig and all the parts he puts in it 😉 ). Ladies and gentleman – RaDeK MaŁy! 😀
1. How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?
My adventure started over 30 years ago… In primary school, if I remember correctly. My first radio controlled car I put together from few broken ones, that I managed to get from colleagues, who’s fathers worked in Germany. Old times 😉 That car was not amazing, but it ridden and I was very proud, that I was able to make this scrappy work 🙂
2. Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?
My favorite is recent Axial SCX10 II – Jeep Cherokee. It’s not “favorite”, because it’s tons of fun, but because thanks to it I have an opportunity to meet with great people during weekly Warsaw Weekend Meetings. Who needs a RC to play alone?
3. What is your dream RC?
I think I already have my dream RC. I put a lot of work into Jeep and I don’t really plan to make any more changes soon. But that doesn’t matter that I wouldn’t like to have garage full of different rigs 😉
4. What do you like the most in this hobby?
I think I’m not different from the rest and won’t say anything new. I already wrote about meeting nice people, so I won’t repeat myself. There is one more thing, that I love in this hobby (not only in it, actually). Ability to break away from grey reality. I take my “garage”, start to work on my rig and I lose track of time. I don’t think about work, problems, invoices to pay and rest of overpowering stuff. Same as during WWM 🙂
5. What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?
Four? Really? Not four-ty? Let say – box of tools and spare parts, as “one” thing. Fortunetaly don’t use them to often 😉 Car, radio and battery don’t count, because they are obvious. Damn, I don’t take to much. Hehe. But seriosly, I hope, that I will “infuse” my daughter with my craziness (she’ll be 5 this year) and we’ll drive together 🙂
