RC_dan is one of the first people I got in touch with via Instagram. He is a “scale freak” and he is good at it. If you ever searched for scale RC seat belts, you probably saw his work – I am sure that I’m gonna write to him when the time for my new project comes, to get a set 😉 . But for now I just admire what he does with his rigs 🙂
Seventh person to answer “5 questions to:..” is @rc_dan! 🙂
- How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?
I started way back in the 80’s and my first RC Car was the Tamiya Hornet. After that I wanted something technically more sophisticated and went fort he Kyosho GALLOP with 4WDS (4WD and 4W-Steering). Then came the Toyota Celica Gr. B
- Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?
Hard to say… currently I’m loving my SCX10 and Wraith, as I spent so much time going for the scale look – even producing a few self fabricated scale accessories.
- What is your dream RC?
Presently I am thinking about a Vaterra Acsender Blazer K5. Would be nice to for something non-Axial to see how other companies are doing and what ideas they have come up with. [edit: rc_dan has a Veterra now 🙂 go check it out on his Instagram profile!]
- What do you like the most in this hobby?
The challenge of being very scale. Especially photography and having people telling me they had to look twice to recognize that it was an RC car and not a real car.
- What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?
My mobile phone for pictures, videocam in case I find some worthy terrain to film, a can of Redbull and some cigarettes ! I guess tools and extra Lipo pack is part of the standard equipment that doesn’t need mentioning 🙂
