We knew, he existed when we were going to Recon G6 in Austria πŸ˜‰ but in all the craziness we just talked to him maybe for 1 minute, somewhere on the course. That’s it. When we realized that, after getting back home, we didn’t know if we should laugh or cry πŸ˜‰
But fortunately we had a chance to talk to him more during Italian Recon G6. Not only talk, but also spend lots of time together – it was so much fun listening to his story about his trip to the US and time he spent with mr Parker himself, you wouldn’t believe πŸ˜€ It was also fun, when we “found” him on the track, when he was looking for a “swamp monster”, when he tow my #ProjectG6 for half of the second course, when we were waiting for him to repair his rig(s) before going to the night run.. The list can go on and on πŸ™‚ After reading this intro you can imagine, how much we wish we were living closer to him, so we had more chances to trail together πŸ™‚

With a great pleasure we present to you answers to “5 questions to:..” from someone, that is a part of our greatest memories from this year’s european Recon G6s. His name is – Chris Scheurer (@chris_nf303)! πŸ˜€
ps See you next year, my friend πŸ˜€

1. How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?

As a kid I always prefered to play with remote toys and my first real RC was a Tamiya TL-01b. The Baja King with it’s terrible manual speed controller! Most of the time when i switched the car on it just started driving uncontrollable against something. My dad took me to an RC track – but he did’t know that at that day there was an Austrian touring car championship run. I decided to run my buggy on the gravel parking lot. After less than 5 minutes one of the touring car drivers came over to me and forced me to shut the car off. At that time I did not know, that one poor guy at the Championship run must have had the same quartz in the Transmitter, that i had – ooops, but hey, I was only 9 years old πŸ˜€

2. Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?

My favorite RC is one my Axial SCX-10s. It is the Martini Racing Blechmonster. I took SCX-10 Axles and a ladder frame under a Vaterra Twinhammers Cage. With that rig, I’ve been traveling through the US for 8 weeks recently. The car has seen some of the most amazing places, I have ever been to.

3. What is your dream RC?

I am always amazed by the hydraulic excavators at model fairs. I’d love to build one one day, but I think once it’s finished, I’d play with it for a couple of hours and then start building something else

4. What do you like the most in this hobby?

In this hobby i like most, that I can build so much stuff on my own. With those cars I can relax and challenge myself with thinking and fabricating. The self-made interiors don’t get destroyed because the cars are slow compared to a basher.

5. What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?

#1 My Recon G6 backpack with all the tools and spare parts in it
#2 the car
#3 water
#4 as many RC fellas as possible
