If you were driving during last weekend’s Recon G6 in Italy and met our “The RC Nennox and Friends Team” on the track, you know who our today’s guest is 🙂
We know each other for less than a year, but we already can say that this friendship is going to last. He and his lovely Wife are most down to earth, funny, great driving, kind and honest RC Maniacs that you can imagine. It’s really hard not to have fun with them 🙂
When we first met he didn’t have a trail rig – we were driving together rally RCs (in the winter, on a parking lot). But after driving some of our rigs during Warsaw Weekend Meetings he decided he needed one for himself. After some time his Wife also got one 🙂 Did we ever tell you how much we love “infect” people with this hobby? 😉
What we want to say at the end, before usual “with great pleasure..” is that he is a big part of our RC adventure on many levels. And we are very happy with that.
So.. With a great pleasure we present to you answers to our “5 questions to:..” from a real petrol head, true RC Maniac and a great friend – make some noise for Czacha (aka Rafał Trzaska )!
- How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?
Hmmm… Hard to tell… Since always I wanted to have a “small radio controlled car”. The first one was from a Deagostini magazines – Bymco RWD model. Next one was more professional, bought about 7 years ago, nitro Carson CS-4.
- Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?
Right now, with my Wife, we own 7 RCs. I don’t really have a favorite one. I like them all the same, because each of them is from different kind of this hobby. I liked a lot a rig that I part ways with – Tamiya Nitrage 5.2. Another that I like is a classic, that not many heard about – it’s one with fuel engine from Academy from 1992. Fun fact is that I was able to buy it brand new in KIT version. I like all my RCs, but I have sentiment to this one. To confirm these words I can say that it drove only once to break the motor.
- What is your dream RC?
What is my dream RC… I really dream about building a realistic copy of Subaru Impreza with fuel engine from scratch (as it is in real one – with boxer engine – yeah, aircraft engine)…
But getting back to earth:
- Monster truck (f.e. Traxxas Xmaxx)
- Truggy (f.e. I’d like to buy again Tamiya Nitrage and convert it to electric)
- Traxxas Xo-1
- and probably some more, that I’ll see in the future 😉
- What do you like the most in this hobby?
What I like the most is building cars from scratch… Let the fact that each and every of my rigs was a KIT version be the proof. There was some exceptions that proves the rule.
- What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?
To be honest I take only spare batteries. But if it’s a competition, I take way to much stuff 😉 All tools, all spare parts that I have for particular RC, wheels, charger, etc. Even though, each time I have a feeling I forgot about something and I’m not well prepared for the adventure 😉
