If you have ProLine Toyota Hilux body and didn’t see our today’s guest’s accessories for it yet, we really don’t know where you have been for the last few weeks!
He is not only a great designer and talented RC constructor, he also takes one of the best RC pictures we’ve eve seen. It doesn’t matter if it’s a trail rig in the snow (as on the picture above), or in mud, or basher, or rally – each and every one of them looks very realistic when he is behind the camera.
With great pleasure we present to you answers to our “5 questions to:..” from one of our RC friends that we met thanks to our Warsaw Weekend Meetings. He is a very busy person, but fortunately recently has a little bit more time and we had a chance to drive a bit together. 🙂 We are looking forward to see what his next projects will be! Ladies and gentlemen – RC Nerds!
1. How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?
My first contact with something “controlled” was in the 80’s. It was a toy grade cable Corvette, lent for a moment. Than there were the 90’s and attempts to make GiJoe’s Hummer electric at home… I think I may ave this toy somewhere… Maybe it’s not a bad idea to try again? In the meantime there was also Chinese radio controlled toy, that broke faster than it could drive.
So my first real RC appeared way later, in 2008. It was T-maxx from Traxxas. It was a tough love – after 3 broken motors I rebuilt it and put away so I wouldn’t spend more money on it. Moreover, right after I bought T-maxx, Traxxas released E-revo, that assured me, that nitro is not what I want. I was not into RC until 2015, when under influence of a friend, I made my plan, that was glowing in my head for years as a plug light, a reality – I bought myself E-revo. And since then, so far, I’m into RC again.
And yes, that unlucky nitro found new owner.
2. Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?
I don’t have my favorite RC. Each of them is cool in it’s own way.
3. What is your dream RC?
I don’t have a dream RC either, but I think manufacturers are working on it already. But seriously – maybe something classic from Tamiya, from their beginnings. Their RC Toyota 4×4 or Sand Sorcher e.t.c.
4. What do you like the most in this hobby?
Building, designing, putting together, driving and taking pictures are equal when it comes to things I like in RC.
5. What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?
Four AA batteries 1.5 v are my regular companion during each RC journey.
