5 questions to: zach23

Our today’s guest is one of Warsaw Weekend Meetings regulars 🙂

Since the first time we met (about 1,5 years ago?), his Jeep changed a lot – it transformed from simple, stock silver Axial SCX10 Rubicon, to one of the better looking SCX10s that drive in WWM. But not the body of this rig is what makes it so special – it’s what our today’s guest did, to make it shine 😉

From Iron Man, with eyes and chest that shine bright in the dark, to mad light bar, that is.. just MAD 😀 (You don’t need a torch when you turn this thing on, that’s for sure 😉 ) He does with electronics and lights what he wants – and, thankfully, he also is more than happy to put some light in our RC lives, too (more about it soon 🙂 ).

That’s why, with the great pleasure, we present to you answers to our “5 questions to:..” from the master of brightness himself 😉 It’s zach23! 😀

  1. How has your RC adventure started and what was your first RC?

I remember silver Porsche 911 Cabrio from my childhood. The first car with full control, as I used to have a few before, that turned only on reverse. I couldn’t understand why it was, that when I turned one back wheel, the other one turned the other way 😉 After few crushes and damages I transfered all the insides to a different toy, that drove for a long time. It made me very proud!

  1. Which RC (that you own or owned) is your favorite?

I think it’s gonna be my recent Axial SCX10 Rubicon “Iron Man”. It’s the one I spend the most time with, drive the most, modify the most… and invest in the most 🙂

  1. What is your dream RC?

It’s a hard question… I look at Short Course Truck kind of trucks more and more, but drift is also tempting. I still hope, I’ll be able to build a scale rig for trial from scratch – frame, body, accessories etc. Some kind of new, unique project.

  1. What do you like the most in this hobby?

What surprises me the most is how many things you can learn, that are not directly related to recreational drive in the park, that most people associate this hobby with. Beginning with simple ride, driving the model, build and repair, than electronics, batteries, charging current, amps, cables, soldering, lights, winch, plastics processing, painting, and Arduino programming, making own structures and programs. Everything to make the car drive beter, be more polished and fit one’s likes better.

  1. What are 4 things that you always take on your RC adventures?

Basic set of tools, spare screws and bearings, super glue and camera.
