And here it is – my dream RC! HPI Sprint 2 RTR-X.

It wasn’t my first choice. Before HPI released it, I was “hunting” for something a bit different. I wanted a HPI E10 Drift, no matter in which body. But than Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang RC arrived. And I had to have it! Unfortunately it was not easy to get it in Poland… I’ve waited more than a year for premiere and wondering if buying from the USA wasn’t a better idea… Fortunately I was thinking for so long, that RTR-X came into existence and when I saw it for the first time I didn’t want E10 anymore πŸ˜‰ And it had different chassis (Sprint 2), what was also a plus.
I had “obsession” over this car – I believe I’ve seen almost every video and picture of it’s 1:1 big brother. Since Shift 2 I drove it in every NFS πŸ˜‰ Yeah, to me it’s the best car in the whole wide World.*

When we were getting it from the store I’ve decided that it can’t get ruined, so we’ve got another body as a replacement. Which one? Look at the pictures below! πŸ™‚

*I wrote it about 1,5 years ago – now Hoonicorn is my fave πŸ˜‰

Painting πŸ™‚ Yes, it was a lot of fun. Even more fun was with putting the tape on the body, so there’s gonna be 3 colors on it.

Roof was the easiest part – we just taped it around and it was ready for painting – small brush and Hammerite worked perfect.

The rest of the body was not so obvious. It was an “interesting” task. If I’ve learnt something from it – first cutting, than painting πŸ˜‰

In my opinion it went great – remember it was our first time (!).

Cuda won’t be driving on RTR-X’s wheels – we’ve already bought a new set.

But looks are not the most important. I’ve decided to make my life harder, and turn it into a RWD drifter. But more on that – next time πŸ˜‰
